URGENT HUMANITARIAN APPEAL: SAVE THE PEOPLE OF TAIZ, YEMEN

URGENT HUMANITARIAN APPEAL: SAVE THE PEOPLE OF TAIZ, YEMEN

URGENT HUMANITARIAN APPEAL: SAVE THE PEOPLE OF TAIZ, YEMEN TO:

International Humanitarian Organisations and United Nations Agencies
The city of Taiz, Yemen, with a population of more than 1.5 million people, is facing a deepening humanitarian crisis as a result of the siege imposed by the Houthis.

Essential supplies, including drinking water, food, and medicines, are running critically low. The continued restrictions on access to basic necessities are placing the lives of civilians at increasing risk and pushing the city towards a major humanitarian catastrophe.

The people of Taiz cannot be left to face this crisis alone. Humanitarian organisations and relevant international agencies must urgently turn their attention to the situation and take immediate steps to assess the needs of the civilian population, facilitate the delivery of essential supplies, and ensure safe and unhindered humanitarian access to the city.

We therefore appeal to the United Nations, international humanitarian organisations, and the international community to act without delay to prevent further suffering and protect the lives and dignity of the people of Taiz.

The humanitarian situation in Taiz demands urgent attention and immediate action. Every delay risks making an already desperate situation even worse.
The people of Taiz must not be forgotten.
